Unmuted Tones is a design studio exploring East African cultures through local metaphors. The studio creates contemporary objects and spaces shaped by cultural context, material process, and provenance.

 

Formed through extended experience across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa, Unmuted Tones emerges from close engagement with global design culture—and a growing recognition of the urgency of cultural nuance.

Through carefully developed collections and authored works, the studio foregrounds cultural specificity, craftsmanship, and authorship as markers of long-term and future value, positioning design as a means of continuity, renewal, and the shaping of future cultural records within East African design.
